About us
Refuge Youth Network is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in Altoona, PA with the mission of creating a youth culture based on the love of Jesus Christ. We provide students spiritual direction and social support through our after-school and summer programming, and youth ministries at four campuses across Blair County.
(Altoona, Bellwood, Tyrone, and Hollidaysburg)
Our ministry is focused on serving the next generation of believers and expanding the kingdom of God past the confines of our community. We reach out to youth and train up campus leaders through coaching, mentorship, and lesson plans. Our goal is to expand our reach to youth to lead them to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Refuge is intentional about reaching students where they are. Whether it is the local football game or the skate park, Refuge Youth Network is there. Our leadership is intentional in being with the students in their community.

WE STRIVE TO CONNECT WITH STUDENTS IN AUTHENTIC CHRIST-CENTERED RELATIONSHIPS.
Our multiple campuses offer students and leadership a place to engage with one another. The youth ministries give foundational teaching of the Word of God and often times leads to very deep conversations.

FINALLY, WE CREATE OPPORTUNITIES TO MENTOR AND DISCIPLE YOUTH IN SMALL GROUP AND
ONE-ON-ONE SETTINGS.
We provide Fishing Club, Tennis Club, Board Games Club, Community Mentorship, Fitness Club, and a Girls-Only Program as spaces that allow the roots we are building to further grow in our students.
Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, the final and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death as a substitute for man, bodily resurrection, ascension to the Father, intercessory work for believers and personal return in power and glory.

We believe God created man and woman and loves us. We fell from a relationship with God through disobedience and we are in desperate need of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. All human beings, with the exception of Jesus, are born with a sin nature, are accountable for their sin, and need to be born again. Being estranged from God by our disobedience, we are incapable of a right relationship to God apart from divine grace.

We believe that salvation was provided for all and was accomplished solely by the finished work of Christ shedding his blood upon the cross. No good work by any person can merit Christ’s salvation. Through confession of sinful ways and receiving Jesus Christ as Savior, we are born anew in the Holy Spirit. This salvation is not the result of any human effort or works but is the free gift of God's grace in Jesus Christ.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who indwells believers in Christ and empowers them to live a Godly life and proclaim Christ as Lord and Savior.
